Are Trunks and Goten capable of reaching Ssj2?

Google Chrome and Firefox	Now in the series I don't recall Trunks ever reaching Ssj2. Do you think he is capable of achieving this formation. Or was Gohan the only half saiyan capable of doing this ?

Google Chrome	Trunks can't, he ascended and so he cannot reach any further power. Gohan achieved it because he wasn't an idiot like Trunks and chose not to ascend, like Goku and Vegeta chose.

Google Chrome and Firefox	That isn't true. Goku was able to do the same Ussj transformation as Trunks and he was capable of going Ssj2. So I don't think that is the reason. Let me hear from more people on what they think about whether or not they are capable of going Ssj2.

Goten and Trunks appeared to slack off near the end of DBZ. They don't have the attitude of being the best to push themselves far enough.

Firefox Favourite Manga One Piece	I definetly think they are capable of reaching ssj2 after GT there power levels were much stronger and if they focused on their training they would be able to reach it with no problem.although they do slack of if Vegeta or goku was to train them i think they would.

Anyway... if Goten and Trunks trained SUPER hard like Goku and Vegeta they might have a slight chance of getting there.

It's just that certain requirements have to be met. And being that these two really slacked off (which really wouldn't have to be much being that they weren't training that hard in the first place) they never acheived these levels. On a side note: What happened to the thread about Bra and Pan Super Saiyinship? I finally found some pretty decents what-if pics and can't find them now.

When King Enma sends Vegeta back to earth to help in the fight against buu, Vegeta refuses to fuse with Goku because he saw his SSJ3 transformation from otherword and found out that he was holding back..... He has a massive go at Goku about how his pride was damaged because he was holding back.....Goku tells him that he wasnt sure his body could handle SSJ3 in the real world. I think youre right about the fact that Goku wanted a fair fight, but my point still remains.....going SSJ3 seems to be easier in otherworld.....

Gotenks (SSJ3) is more powerful than Goku (SSJ3). Anyways, as far as Future Trunks is concerned, I'm pretty sure that in his timeline he eventually reaches SSJ2, provided that he continues training, though there is no evidence. Kid Trunks and Goten never reach SSJ2 because they never train. They're both slackers because of the peacetime, unfortunately. And this is further expressed in GT. So, they do have the capability of reaching SSJ2 but never let it happen.

Trunks & Goten could have if they trained
